I have a confession to make, I love to watch the Real Housewives of… wherever, you name the city, I watch it! The only thing I don’t love is seeing some of these gorgeous ladies go overboard with aesthetic treatments. It breaks my heart to watch true beauty morph into an almost character like appearance.
I find this also impacts my profession in a negative manner. Too often I hear phrases like “I would NEVER do filler, Botox, laser, etc… Because I don’t want to look like a duck, an alien, etc…”! This is precisely why I offer complimentary consultations and educational events like the Lunch and Learn I am hosting this month! It is my mission to make sure every one of my patients receives a customized treatment plan to meet their beauty goals while maintaining a natural look.
This month is all about Sculptra! Have you ever looked in the mirror and used your fingertips to slightly elevate the sides of your face? It’s as though if you could only just lift the skin ever so slightly the years automatically fade away! How did this happen?
We are born with structural fat in our faces that slowly lessens over time. Of course, it is probably the only area of our bodies in which fat decreases with age, another one of life’s cruel jokes! The problem with this occurring in the face is the skin does not shrink along with the fat and so gravity does it’s job and pulls the skin down. The result is a more squared face, jowls, shadows in the mid face, and an aged appearance. Before you get too depressed don’t worry as I may have the fix for you. It is called Sculptra and it is awesome!
Sculptra is a product that is used to gradually restore a more youthful appearance through a series of treatments done over the course of several months. Sculptra is injected to stimulate your skin’s own collagen production to restore overall volume in your face. The end result is a more rested and vibrant you! Many of my previous Sculptra patients liked the gradual improvement of their appearance versus using a treatment yielding immediate results. Why you might wonder… family and friends were commenting on how great they were looking without knowing why! New hair style? Lost weight? Teeth whitened? I will never tell!
